Guest Blogger for Karibu

This is a blog I recently wrote for https://karibu.club – a trail running club based in Hampshire, Surrey & Sussex and who I am now partnered with for guest blogging.

We are delighted to introduce our guest blogger and resident massage therapist Rachel Gosling from The Therapy Room (www.thetherapy-Room.co.uk)
Rachel runs The Therapy Room from a beautiful purpose built treatment room in Billingshurst. With nearly 6 years experience running her massage business Rachel specialises in remedial treatments specifically for running as well as deep tissue, health & well-being and pre-natal.

Rachel has worked in healthcare for most of her career, originally training as a medical secretary but re-trained as a massage therapist in 2010 following a back injury after running the Flora London Marathon in 2009. Following surgery on a torn disc in her back she couldn’t find a local massage therapist to help with her re-habilitation back to running so once she had recovered she decided her previous medical experience could be better utilised in helping other people recover from injuries.

Rachel has continued to follow her passion for running, preferring longer distances (Hastings half marathon and numerous 10k races, as well as joining our own Rachel Murphy on a couple of the Maverick Trail races in 2016. She has also successfully conquered swimming The English Channel as part of a 5 team relay. Now since recently joining KARIBU she is keen to share her passion and knowledge of massage therapy with KARIBU members.
On booking an appointment at The Therapy Room, KARIBU members will receive a discount of 10% on each treatment. Just give Rachel your membership number when booking.
Massage Therapy is essential in it’s effectiveness in maintaining the body’s equilibrium pre and post sporting activities as well as an excellent way to de-stress and relax.
Look out for Rachel soon on the trails. She has lots of ideas for future feature articles such as “foam rolling – pleasure or pain?” but is keen to find out what you would like to learn about!
